Presales of condos and townhouses add Bt1 billion to quarterly performance

Sansiri expects its presales to reach Bt6.5 billion this quarter after launching two condominium projects together worth Bt2.8 billion and eight townhouse projects worth a combined Bt6.4 billion at "Living in Style 2009" yesterday.

President Srettha Thavisin said the company had adjusted its quarterly target from Bt5.5 billion to Bt6.5 billion. It recorded presales of Bt4 billion in the first two months of the year.

"We expect presales of Bt2.5 billion from the three-day 'Living in Style 2009', which runs until Sunday at Siam Paragon. This will drive our sales to Bt6.5 billion in the first quarter of this year," he said.

He added that despite the economic slump, real demand for residential projects still existed if the company continued to offer homes at good locations and matching what consumers want.

Evidence of this are its two condominium projects that have already been launched this year: Quattro at Thonglor, worth Bt4.7 billion, which has sold 60 per cent of the project value; and The Vertical Aree, worth Bt1.15 billion, which soft-launched last week and has already recorded presales of 80 per cent.

The company also expects presales of more than 50 per cent for the Bt1.7-billion Blocs 77 project - located at Sukhumvit 77 - at the current event, said Dusadee Tancharoen, assistant vice president for condominium marketing and product development.

To boost its presales this year, the company is running a joint marketing campaign with Siam Commercial Bank, under which booking payments for Blocs 77 made using the bank's credit card will be charged zero interest for six months.

Meanwhile, customers committing to units in any of Sansiri's other residential projects - the developer has 43 projects worth more than Bt20 billion - at the event will be charged zero interest for the first year of a mortgage from Siam Commercial Bank.
