Sansiri on course to B20bn PDF Print E-mail
The listed developer Sansiri Plc is confident of achieving 20 billion baht in sales this year in line with the improved sentiment in the property market, according to Metha Agnwatanapanich, the company's executive vice president for business and project development.

For its low-rise developments, Sansiri has already recorded 6.5 billion baht in sales out of a full-year target of 9.2 billion to 9.3 billion baht. Low-rise units account for around 50% of its sales and condominiums the rest.

The company saw a significant improvement in sales in August when the monthly total reached 1 billion baht as buyers made decisions in order to benefit from tax incentives before they expire next March.

Sansiri has launched two new projects worth more than 1 billion baht under its Habitia brand in the Rarm Intra area. The 495-million-baht Habitia Wongwan-Rarm Intra will be the first townhouse development under the brand. It will house 245 units at prices from 1.85 million baht.

Habitia Panya Rarm Intra, worth 509 million baht, will offer 112 single houses on lots from 100 square wah and priced from 4.29 million baht.

Mr Metha said the company would set aside around 1 billion baht to acquire more land plots in the Rama V- Ratchapreuk area in the fourth quarter of this year. Sansiri still has around 500 rai of land in the Rarm Intra area available for future developments.

Shares of Sansiri (SIRI) closed yesterday on the Stock Exchange of Thailand at 4.36 baht, up eight satang, in trade worth 115.3 million baht.
